Surfing on Bruny Island

Although you need a wetsuit you will find excellent waves on Bruny Island. The best breaks can be found at Cloudy Bay, about a 20 minute drive from The Tree House. On days of small swell catch some beach breaks at the Neck, about 15 minutes drive from the house. When there is a strong south easterly wind blowing for about 4 days you'll find a magic point break close to Adventure Bay, this should be ridden by experienced surfers only as the reef can be quite shallow. Make sure you check the conditions at the beach before jumping into the water, as there are strong currents and rips.  It pays to seek friendly island knowledge.
