Here are a few tips to make your accommodation at The Tree House on Bruny Island more enjoyable. We hope you have a great time on the island.

Tips for The Tree House

Tip 1: There is an electric BBQ on one of the decks. Bring a roast to BBQ under the hood.

Tip 2: There is a bread-maker in one of the cupboards. Bring a packet mix and wake up to a freshly baked hot loaf. 

Tip 3: We have a coffee plunger and espresso machine. Bring your favourite coffee blend to enjoy with your hot loaf. 

Tip 4: To make it absolutely superb, play your favourite CD on the CD player.  

Tip 5: Take a walk to the shop/pub along the track that winds along the coast. At the bottom of the drive turn right and find the track appr. 20 meters down the road.

Tip 7: Dinner and Breakfast hampers are available from the Penguin Cafe 710 Adventure Bay Road  - www.penguincafe.com.au/dinner.htm

Tip 8: Checkout the Bruny Island Smoke House they do Shack Paks (hampers) and have great food and views.

Tip 9: Buy your meat at the Snug Butcher, its on your way to the ferry,  Channel Highway Snug. You can phone order in advance and pay by credit card.

Tip 10: You can get cash from the ATM located at the Adventure Bay Store, Ph 6293119.

Tip 11: Internet services are available at the Access Centre, Alonnah and from the Bruny Cafe at Adventure Bay.

Tip 13: Farm Fresh Oysters are available from Get Shucked look for the signs north of great bay, Ph 0428606250.

Tip 14:Lunawanna Link Cafe does lunch and dinner with take meals available. You'll find them at 10 Cloudy Bay Road, Lunawanna, Ph 6293 1500.

Tip 15: Take a tour on the Bruny Charters Eco Tour:

View beautiful remote bays, drift within meters of the mysterious breathing

rock, the massive secret caves and sculptured rocky islands that fringes

South Bruny's National Park. Visit the Friar Rocks, home to over 1000 curious Australian Fur Seals, seethe antics of playful Dolphins, Fairy Penguins, White Bellied Sea Eagles,

Shy Albatrosses, Australasian Gannets, Black-faced and Great Cormorants,

Silver, Kelp and Pacific Gulls, Short Tailed and Sooty Shearwaters, Terns,

Sooty and Pied Oystercatchers as they hunt in these abundant waters. See

rare nest sites, home of While Bellied Sea Eagles and Peregrine Falcons. You

may even observe the migrating Southern Right or Humpback Whales.

When you return to shore you will take unique memories of being one of the

privileged few to have experienced nature at it's unspoilt best
