The Tree House
Accommodation
Bruny Island
Tasmania

There are many beautiful places to walk on Bruny island. There are walks ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours, it depends on your fitness and what you want to see. We have some favorite walks at The Tree House and below are a few descriptions. Remember when walking to take good shoes with you, some food and warm clothes.
The Tree House to Pub Walk
Start at The Tree House and walk down the driveway. At the end of the driveway turn right and walk along the road until you get to the coastal reserve. You will then see the track on the left joining the entrance of the coastal reserve road, follow it and head towards Alonnah. The track you are now walking on is the old road to Alonnah. Follow the track that winds around the coastline. The land on the other side of the channel is called Gordon. After about 15 minutes of walking you will arrive at the pontoon jetty. Walk past the jetty and head along the beach for another 10 minutes. Look for the roof of the pub and the giant rusty Melbourne bitter can attached to it. When you arrive there are stairs going to the pub from the beach. The Bruny Island Hotel claims to be the most southern pub in Australia.
